This collection offered three different themes of sheep, water-scapes and treetops.

Mary Ellen paints in wax: the layers of vibrant, silky pools of colour are contrasted to thick clumps of rocks, wool and bark. What is fascinating about this pigment-embedded-in-wax technique is that, even after studying these paintings for long periods of time, the viewer can discover new details and levels of meaning.
